Prototype parts are made on our in-house production equipment where we can make headrests, armrest frames, seat frames, and a wide range of bent wire or tube. We also have the ability to 3D print parts for a faster and often cheaper prototype part. Our R&D team is able to offer virtual stress and fatigue testing from digital part designs as well.
Our prototyping processing includes material investigation/comparison, costs studies, and mass production feasibility.
R&D also extends their reach into studying equipment and new process development to support our current production needs. The team has experience in CNC machines, air formers, swaging, notch design, inspection cameras, and so much more. They work other JR Manufacturing teams to help improve automation, quality, and product design. There isn’t a part that runs through our buildings that our R&D team hasn’t worked on or helped make better.
